Hi Noureen,
I want to thank you for joining us! How are you doing during lockdown?
We are doing well, thank you. Taking it one day at a time and trying to remain healthy and at home.
You can tell from your IG that you’re such a family person and I love the funny videos you post about your son and life as a mother.
What’s your daily routine now during COVID-19? What kind of tips can you give to other mothers?
Well, we start the day with some ambitious goals: printing out school work for my son and I select an online workout that I promise myself I will do later in the day.
My son is only 5 but somehow has more zoom meetings than I do! After his 30 min zoom class, we try to be productive but I'm not sure if we actually manage to get a lot done.
My workout usually gets skipped in favor of taking the dog for a walk and most days we end up in the swimming pool by 3 pm. Sometimes we watch a movie and play frisbee in front of our house.
It's hard to be accountable during this time when there's so much worldwide anxiety. I guess my advice would be: stay present and let yourself off the hook when you can. This is a really stressful time and I think we need to be cope in whatever ways we can!

That’s good advice, it’s useless to worry about the future & we’ve to enjoy whenever we can.
One of my all-time favorite Netflix series is “ Good Girls” and you’re in season 3. Can you tell a bit more about your role in the series?
I play a character named Krystal who works with Stan (Reno Wilson). Krystal is a dancer and a thief but a very sweet unsuspecting one. You almost don't see it coming as she pulls Stan into a darker direction this season. I don't want to give too much away.
How did you prepare yourself for this role?
In the season opener, there's a scene where Krystal is walking around naked, oblivious of the effect this has on Ruby who is beyond uncomfortable with Krystal's candor. It’s a really funny scene, but was absolutely terrifying to perform as an actor. As soon as my deal closed for the role, I started working out an extra half hour everyday and watching what I ate. At the end of the day, you just have to roll with it as best you can on the day of shooting.
I’m sure you were killing it! What’s the best life advice you’ve ever received?
"As you think so shall you create"
That’s a powerful one.
What kind of advice would you give to your younger self?
I think the pandemic must be getting to me, I would tell myself to have more fun. I worked a lot in the last 2 decades and there’s a part of me that wishes I had let myself enjoy more of the journey, maybe I would tell myself to go to more music festivals! (Now that those might be a thing of the past). As I’ve gotten older, I’ve embraced that living well isn’t just accomplishments at work and I value family so much more now. I love living a celebratory life and honoring moments. For me, joy is one of the most important parts of life. Finding it for myself and creating it for others.
